　　The Applied Math program at the University of Illinois is an interdepartmental effort encompassing a broad range of activity and interests. By coordinating the strengths of a world-class scientific institution, the program seeks to encourage development of the next generation of innovations in applied mathematics.

　　The program sponsors visitors, seminar series, and external collaborations which illuminate novel mathematical phenomena which underpin phenomena in various areas of science and engineering.
