Leadership
Napoleon’s motto: “Every French soldier carries a marshal's baton in his knapsack”. Fortunately, from primary school to high school, not only I have nicety wishes to be a general, but also managed to came to the fore of the endless and intense campaign of class leaders and finally to become a “True General of class”——the monitor. The position, and along with the honor of “Excellent Student Leader” witnessed my growth and mature as a leader. At the same time, they encouraged me to take on the responsibility in my life and granted me the wisdom of facing any difficulties, and also, the art of human communication skill. All of this made me feel confident to perform well in my future life, no matter the life in campus or my profession career.
When I was enrolled in university, though I took massive time than before on learning, doing research and preparing to go abroad, the ability of leadership and the corresponding and organizing capability helped me to be certificated by faculties of the university, and I was appointed as the commissary in charge of studies for two year. During this time, I was responsible for organizing and attending different kinds of activities such as academic intercommunion, competitions, which annealed my capabilities on taking charge of overall situation like these activities. I always remember the Innovation Competition of Carving out Plans, which was aimed to select the outstanding person for the Cup of Challenge National Competition. I took part in the competition and was the leader of the finance team composed student from Financial Department and Information Manage Department. In the course of this, I had to be put my leadership to proof, overcoming the problems evoked by the various way we think and the different kinds of communication method, because all the members came from separate majors.
The most intractable problem is the selecting of the address of enterprise. The enterprise we planned to establish pitch the process and regie of “軟裝潢”for the middle-aged and young people. Members majored in Biochemistry thought the enterprise should locate in the area nearby raw and processed materials, so that the transport costs and the hire could be reduced and also promoted the product development. On the other hand, members majored in Information Manage favored to the busy streets, which made the extending and propagandizing activities more convenient to be developed, and the members majored in Finance would like to choose the area of resident community which was convenient to aim to the objective.
The tripartite viewpoint respectively has the fit and unfit quality, as the leader, I has listened earnestly and respectfully all the argument details they elaborated, and comparing the emphasis points, the difference and feasibility and discussing with the doubts. After I integrated all the information and viewpoint from my members, I proposed the final address-selecting scheme: separating the manufacture factory and the distribution shop in two areas, and setting producing area in the shop with staffs in order to satisfy the customers’ needs. Most of the finished products were transported from the factory, betimes-products was produced in the producing area. By the way, the thought of locate in areas of resident community was a good idea, but in general speaking, the new established enterprise hasn’t got good reputation by all the people so that the products may not be accepted by most of them. So in my opinion, we should accumulating the brand faithfulness and then extending widely in forms of chain-leagued shops. In this way, my address-selecting scheme was ratified by all the members in my team.
After settled the address-select problem, I began to arrange the members to other assignment. To our enterprise, the most important raw and processed materials were fabrics and the members majored in Biochemistry Engineering had the predominance, because they were familiar with the texture and the use of the fabrics, so they were arranged to responsible for the stocking and designing, including selecting the materials and the information of cost price and digital of financing calculation. Members majored in Information Manage, considering their superiority, were responsible for the marketing investigation, maintaining interior of enterprise information system, brand promotion and management of customer relations. The other members, who majored in Finance, of course, under my lead to budget the future financial condition based on comprehensive utilization of the digitals of cost and market sale forecast, and also doing the project appraisal.
In the course of financial appraisal, we also met the conditions of holding separate opinions, as the leader, I must avoid making decision arbitrarily and ignoring the talent of my members, and also learned to listen respectfully. I did my best to state my viewpoint including the advantage and disadvantage and spoke in the way to be accepted easily, and holding modestly manner, however, can make convictive decision when necessary.
During this time, we all thought much of the power of team spirits and got in tough with each other in order to corresponding with the information. In this way, we took advantage of different kinds of members’ superiorities and corresponded the separate viewpoints, solving all the difficulties we met and achieved success, So I believe that I have the potential to be a leader and have ability of self-perfection in each position. I believe that if I could enter in Fish, I can also develop myself better with the virtue of my abilities and unceasingly enterprising spirit.

Leadership在美國人眼里是非常值得欣賞的能力,文章通過描述自己再高中期間參加的全國“挑戰(zhàn)杯”進(jìn)行篩選的“大夏杯”創(chuàng)業(yè)計(jì)劃大賽的活動(dòng)經(jīng)歷,來作為重點(diǎn)描述,從活動(dòng)期間的各個(gè)細(xì)節(jié)、面對(duì)困難時(shí)的調(diào)解能力、對(duì)隊(duì)員情緒的安撫、以及對(duì)整個(gè)比賽的規(guī)劃等方面,來突出自己的特點(diǎn)、能力、甚至個(gè)性等。
稍顯不足的是,對(duì)所要申請(qǐng)的學(xué)校描述不多,雖然在文章最后表明自己非常想去這個(gè)學(xué)校,但沒有寫具體的東西,顯得有點(diǎn)空洞,如果能適當(dāng)加入一些對(duì)學(xué)校某些專業(yè)的描述、并結(jié)合自己的經(jīng)歷,來說明自己非常適合這個(gè)學(xué)校,那樣的話,效果會(huì)更好一些。

進(jìn)入大學(xué)后,雖然投入了更多的時(shí)間學(xué)習(xí)、研究和準(zhǔn)備出國,我身上自然流露出來的作為領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者的責(zé)任心、全局意識(shí)和組織協(xié)調(diào)能力幫助我贏得了同學(xué)和老師的一致認(rèn)可,連續(xù)兩年被委以學(xué)習(xí)委員的重任,組織和參加各種重要學(xué)術(shù)交流和競賽活動(dòng),極大的鍛煉了自己主持大局的能力。其中最令我記憶猶新的就是大三下學(xué)期帶領(lǐng)由金融系同學(xué)組成的財(cái)務(wù)小組與來自信息管理以及生化工程專業(yè)的同學(xué)合作參加學(xué)校為全國“挑戰(zhàn)杯”進(jìn)行篩選的“大夏杯”創(chuàng)業(yè)計(jì)劃大賽。在整個(gè)過程中,我們需要克服的除了因?qū)I(yè)差異導(dǎo)致的溝通困難,還有思考方式不同引起的諸多問題和考驗(yàn)。
首當(dāng)其沖的棘手問題就是企業(yè)的選址。鑒于我們計(jì)劃成立的企業(yè)是定位于中輕年人群的“軟裝潢”加工和專賣,生化工程專業(yè)的同學(xué)認(rèn)為應(yīng)該選擇離原材料較近的場所,既能享受比較低廉的運(yùn)輸費(fèi)用和租金,又能利用原材料信息來源優(yōu)勢(shì)推進(jìn)新產(chǎn)品的開發(fā)。但是信息管理專業(yè)的同學(xué)認(rèn)為應(yīng)該選擇交通便利、人流量集中的鬧市,這樣便于促銷的開展和品牌的推廣。而金融專業(yè)同學(xué)則覺得居民社區(qū)是個(gè)很不錯(cuò)的選擇,可以直接鎖定我們的目標(biāo)人群。
三方觀點(diǎn)各有優(yōu)劣,作為項(xiàng)目負(fù)責(zé)人,我先認(rèn)真聆聽了各方詳細(xì)的觀點(diǎn)闡述和論據(jù)羅列,然后將他們逐條列出來比較其各自的側(cè)重點(diǎn),并分析他們背后的異同和可行性,同時(shí)將我在一些疑問提出來,最后在充分理解各方觀點(diǎn)重心的情況下,提出了一項(xiàng)綜合的選址方案:考慮到生化工程和信管專業(yè)的同學(xué)的選址觀點(diǎn)分別是針對(duì)生產(chǎn)和銷售兩個(gè)環(huán)節(jié),我們可以將生產(chǎn)工廠和銷售店面分開來設(shè)立,同時(shí)在銷售店面里設(shè)置小塊的加工區(qū),配備設(shè)計(jì)和加工人員,滿足顧客可能的及時(shí)加工的需求。大部分制成品從工廠運(yùn)輸,及時(shí)加工的服務(wù)則在銷售店面直接加工。另外,雖然居民社區(qū)是一個(gè)很好的銷售網(wǎng)點(diǎn)選擇地,但鑒于企業(yè)成立之初,品牌尚未建立,很難得到居民大規(guī)模的認(rèn)可。所以,可以在做到一定規(guī)模并積累了充分的品牌忠誠度后,再以連鎖加盟的方式向社區(qū)擴(kuò)散。這樣一來,通過綜合各方觀點(diǎn)的優(yōu)勢(shì),充分尊重不同的意見,合理安排,我提出的這個(gè)選址的最終方案的得到了大家的一致通過。
在巧妙的解決了選址問題之后,我又著手安排各項(xiàng)任務(wù)的分工。由于我們企業(yè)最重要的。原材料是匹,而生化工程的同學(xué)有著專業(yè)上的優(yōu)勢(shì),對(duì)原材料的質(zhì)地和用途都非常熟悉,所以他們主要集中處理采購和設(shè)計(jì)環(huán)節(jié),包括選擇原材料、收集成本價(jià)格的各項(xiàng)信息為財(cái)務(wù)核算提供數(shù)據(jù)等等。信息管理的同學(xué)則在信息搜集和處理上有很大的優(yōu)勢(shì),所以負(fù)責(zé)市場狀況調(diào)查,企業(yè)內(nèi)部信息系統(tǒng)維護(hù),品牌推廣以及客戶關(guān)系管理。金融系的同學(xué)自然就是在我的帶領(lǐng)下綜合利用成本和市場銷售預(yù)測(cè)等數(shù)據(jù)對(duì)未來的財(cái)務(wù)狀況作出預(yù)算和項(xiàng)目評(píng)估。
在進(jìn)行財(cái)務(wù)評(píng)估的過程中,我們也遇到了很多意見不一致的情況,這時(shí),作為主管我都避免獨(dú)斷專行,學(xué)著聆聽,不忽略每一個(gè)成員的才能。而在陳述觀點(diǎn)時(shí),也盡力做到利弊共陳,用大家容易理解和認(rèn)可的方式。抱著謙虛地態(tài)度,同時(shí)在必要的時(shí)候又能做出讓人信服的決斷。
在這個(gè)過程中,我們?nèi)M人員都非常重視團(tuán)隊(duì)的力量,隨時(shí)保持信息的溝通和傳遞。這樣通過整合各個(gè)專業(yè)同學(xué)的所長,多次的協(xié)調(diào)觀點(diǎn),提出和解決問題。最終取得了非常出色的成績。通過這一次的經(jīng)歷,我更加堅(jiān)信自己不但具有作為一個(gè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者的潛力和技巧,而且能從每一次的角色扮演中不斷進(jìn)步和完善。相信到了Gr,我也能借助我已有能力和不斷進(jìn)取的精神作的更好。
